Multiple studies have shown that music has a profound positive impact on children. Exposing children to music at an early age has been shown to improve social, emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy skills.
The mission of Munchkin Music Makers is to help children make music a part of their lives by providing quality Early Childhood Music Education in an informal and fun setting.
Instructor, Ben English, graduated from Michigan State University with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Studies. Benjamin is certified to teach early childhood music to children birth through 5 years old through the Gordon Institute for Music Learning. He is the Assistant Director of the newly formed Lansing Children’s Choir, tenor section leader of the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing choir, performs with the Lange Choral Ensemble and is a member TBD a Cappella.
Benjamin’s music philosophy centers around Music Learning Theory, which at its core aims to enhance children’s tonal and rhythmic audition.
